The Raider Mission

Welcome to the Sacramento Raiders Youth Football and Cheer Organization.

The Sacramento Raiders Youth Organization (SRYO) established in 1990.  Our mission is to provide our youth with a positive outlet, that allows them the opportunity to participate in a program that teaches basic fundamentals of tackle football and cheerleading, while at the same time promotes good sportsmanship as well as scholastic and athletic achievement. In addition, we focus on helping children achieve in all areas of education, discipline, self-esteem and the chance to experience the exhilarating sensation of belonging and succeeding and feeling confident about their abilities.

Since its inaugural season, the SRYO have maintained their level of excellence.  Their dedication, hard work and commitment to the program, to the players and cheerleaders have paid off tremendously.  We are very proud to announce that since the existent of the SRYO, out of five divisions, each year all teams have been successful in making playoffs and/or winning Conference and State Championships, as well as National Championships in Las Vegas each year that we attend. Our Cheer has competed in several Nationals and State Competitions and has placed between 1^st and 3^rd.

We are especially proud that many of our past players are playing or have played for major Universities, such as: University of Colorado, University of Washington, University of Oregon, University of Hawaii, Michigan State, University of New Mexico, etc. with some being drafted into the NFL and others with great possibility of being drafted to the NFL.

SRYO involves the dedication of many adult volunteers.  They provide excellent coaching and role models for our youth. The coaching staff and the Board of Directors are all non-compensated members.  We depend tremendously on our fundraising, our community and businesses for support.  Since its’ existence, the Sacramento Raiders Youth Organization has become one of the finest youth organization in the Sacramento Area.

 The Raider Way

The Sacramento Raiders Youth Football & Cheer Organization provides a football and cheer program that is supervised by excellent volunteer coaches who are focused on helping children achieve in education, discipline, self- esteem and good sportsmanship, as well as playing organized sports. The program provides youth in our area the chance to experience the exhilarating sensation of belonging and succeeding, in addition to feeling confident and good about their abilities.

The Raiders are located in Sacramento, CA and consists of over 200 children from the ages of 7 to 14 participating in Youth Football and Cheerleading.

The Sacramento Raiders Youth Organization (SRYO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Organization.  All donations are tax deductible.  Financial support from individuals, community leaders, and companies like yours continue to help us:

·         Promote education, good sportsmanship and accountability

·         Provide quality uniforms and equipment

·         Sponsor a Child or Sponsor several children to participate

·         Support fundraisers and our Snack Bar

·         Financially support Facility use for games and practice

We serve more than 200 children annually and the fees that we charge, does not satisfy our operational needs.  Our goal at SRYO is to make our program as affordable as possible so that every child has the opportunity to participate.   We accomplish this through fundraisers, contributions from individuals, community leaders, and businesses.  Working together we know that we can keep our Football and Cheer program affordable to all.  If you wish to donate to our organization, please contact our Booster Coordinator at infosacraider@comcast.net.
